An angel baby and her sweet big sister

I'm loving photographing these sweet newborns! They're so much fun and just so adorable! Today, I met baby C and her adorable big sister J. Both girls are just stunning, and to see their mommy, it's so easy to know how they got that way!!!

Baby C was a typical newborn...you know the kind that usually sleeps all day and then when you want them to, they decide that it'd be better to hang out and just be awake all day instead! We did get some great images of her with her big beautiful eyes wide open, so there's zero complaining from me. She's just absolutely precious!

C's big sister J...Oh my goodness. What a sack of sugar she is! She was posing and "modeling" for me. I had such a great time capturing her little personality and then I got to relive both the girls again tonight as I was editing their images! What a great day!!! I wish I could post more of C and J's images, but you'll all just have to settle for the teaser.

I have my last newborn session later on in the week. I'll post those when they're all complete, too. Be on the lookout for C and J when I post a sample of what I'm using these images for. It's SO cool!

Enjoy the little preview for right now!

Until later,

What a pleasure!

Today, I got to photograph cute, little 8-day-old, A and I also got to be a witness to one of her firsts! I was there when her umbilical cord came off!! :)
A came to me by the way of a referral from a mutal friend of mine and A's mom. I was elated to be able to spend the afternoon with such a new little life. I even made a new friend - A's HUGE yellow lab, Porter!
A posed for me beautifully and was just plain adorable - not to mention SO yummy sweet!

Her parent's were just as great, too! I love working with parent's like E and M! They were very involved with the photo shoot and were so much fun to be around. We were hoping to get a bunch of images when A was sleeping, but she had other plans. We did get so many amazing images - I know I'm having a hard time deciding which ones to post as a sneak peak! Watch out E and M! You've got your work cut out for you with these!!

Until next time,

Ally

So, it looks like I've been slacking on my blog, but...

I really haven't been! I've been really busy reorganizing everything since I've been home from the convention. I have new studio management software, and new products to go through. I've also finsihed re-copying my notes from my classes and I'm now researching becoming a certified professional photographer. Lots of stuff going on with Frameable Faces!!!

So, I don't think I've blogged about this yet, but I'm getting ready to launch a pretty cool new product. I came up with it during one of my classes in Tampa. I'm not going to tell you all what it is just yet, so you'll just have to trust me that it's pretty darned cool. So, I need some NEW new babies to photograph. Well, no one I know has a very new baby, and I can't wait until the summer to get the newest new baby (one of my good friends! So excited!!), so I put the call out. So far, I've had a couple takers, and I'm still looking for more.

Today, I got to photograph an adorable three week old little guy. He was just about the sweetest little thing! So laid back and he let me do just about anything I wanted to in the way of posing him. What a little trooper, little R was!

So, here's his sneak peak. Be on the look out for him to make a bigger debut later on this year.

And if you know anyone with a new baby, like under 2 weeks old, please pass along my contact information. I'm offering a complimentary session until I reach enough babies to get exactly what I'm looking for.

Until next time...

Sitting in the airport waiting to come home....

To digest everything I've learned. As I've said in my past entries, I've learned so much and this was one of those things that was definitely a good thing for business. I'm bringing home so many amazing ideas, so many different products to offer to all of my clients and even some awesome gifts.

Last night was the ending party for the convention and they held it at the Tampa aquarium. What a beautiful place! Earlier in the day, I met a couple other photographers from Ohio and Kentucky and since my roommates weren't into heading to the aquarium, I hung out with Wini and Emily. It turns out that the three of us had a lot in common, too. Emily loved the aquarium and was just as excited as I was to see the sharks. Wini was so excited to see all of the different cool fish and she just went nuts over a really big green moray eel. What a great trip! We took some amazing pictures at the aquarium.

So, this was an amazing trip and even though it took me away from my family for 5 days, it was very much worth it. I missed them all terribly, but the information that I got from these past days was unbelievable! So now, my next endeavor is in March, when I head to South Carolina for some more training.

I'll keep you posted with everything that's going on!

So much stuff and some very sad news

Today was an incredible learning day for me here in Tampa. Oh my gosh did I get some amazing information! I can feel my brain expanding moment by moment and I haven't exploded yet (thankfully)! But I am getting a ton of knowledge from some very talented artists and I'm bringing home with me such great information! I can't wait to see what this year will bring Frameable Faces!

For starters, I'm going to be offering a baby plan. This will be a program that you purchase for a set amount (which will be determined shortly) and you'll get 3 photo sessions and an 8x10 from each session. There'll be some more details that'll go along with it, but again, if you know someone who's having a baby in the very near future, steer them my way. I'll make it worth their while!

Ok, for the sad news...I'm in Tampa with a friend from a forum that I'm a part of. And one of her friends came with her. So here I am staying with two "almost" strangers. Anyway, they're both great and we all get along very well. So, Heather (the roommate that I'd never met before being at this convention) tells me that she's friends with the missing hiker/mountain climber from Georgia. Heather actually was out searching for Meredith the night before leaving for the convention. She's been glued to the news hoping for any information about her friend. We were all together when Meredith's dog, Ella, wandered into a Kroger supermarket and when the police arrested the man last seen with Meredith.

Well, today we got the news that we were hoping NEVER to hear. Meredith's body was found. Heather got a phone call from a friend right before we got dinner delivered. It was so sad... So tonight, before I go to bed, I'm going to say a prayer for Meredith Emerson, her family, and for my new friend Heather. I hope that Meredith's family and Heather can find peace amidst this terrible tragedy.

I had my portfolio review and got some exciting news!

So, today I woke up super early (before 5 a.m!) after a LONG night of partying and had an unbelievable day! I took classes today on marketing, lighting and learned all about a very cool "boutique-y" studio. I walked around the expo all afternoon - it's SO big and packed with so much information that I was in camera heaven! So nuts!! But it was so exciting, too! There's so much stuff that's being brought to market that I just can't wait to get a hold of it all. And I can't wait to be able to share it with all of you!

So, in 2008, I'm going to be offering a bunch of new things like great spiral bound "brag" books, and leather bound wallet sized "brag" books, too! You're just going to have to wait to see everything! Unbelievable stuff! So exciting!

Speaking of exciting, when I had my porfolio review, I got a pretty good one (which always makes me happy!) and she strongly suggested that I enter an image into the Black-and-White category. It's an image of Ewan and it's one of my most favorites! So, that's my new news! I'll be submitting it to another conference competition in March, too. I'll let you know how I fare!

So, now I'm off to bed so I can get up and start learning more all over again! This has been an amazing trip so far!!!

Happy New Year and greetings from Tampa!

I'm writing this from my hotel room in Tampa, Florida. I'm at the Professional Photographers Association Conference and it's so amazing! Today, I took two classes on Senior photography. This is something that I"ve been interested in doing for a while, but haven't had the information to do so. Well, today I got a ton of good information on doing Senior photography. I'm so excited to start doing this type of photography. I have a ton of great ideas on posing, getting great images and an amazing referral program, too! So, if you know anyone who's going to be a senior, graduating in 2009, please send them my way! I'm looking for models who are very active in school activities - athletics, band, cheerleading, poms, etc...you know who's active in many different facets of school life. I'm offering a free session and like I said, an amazing referral program - but you'll have to send me an email or give me a call to find out more about it!

This is going to be an amazing year for Frameable Faces! What an amazing opportunity to get in on the growth! I'll be blogging about what's been going on day by day as the week goes on! Check back tomorrow to see what happened on Sunday, January 6!
